Nylon Insert locknuts are commonly referred to as nyloc nuts and are hex shaped nuts with internal threads and a nylon insert to increase friction on the external threads of the bolt or screw to prevent the nut from loosening. Nylon insert locknuts are available in both coarse thread NC and fine thread NF and available in zinc plated steel ZP, yellow zinc plated YZP grade 8 steel, brass, and stainless steel SS.
